Who Are We?

During the course of everyday events we often forget the role of thoughts in the forging of our material reality. We get lost in the visible symbols, the material by-products of our imaginations, forgetting the invisible blueprints from which they, and we, emerge. (Form: We Create Our Own Reality)

Science tells us consciousness arises from matter but without consciousness, how could anything exist, let alone survive beyond the smallest unit of time? Without awareness, how could we perceive the existence of anything, let alone ourselves? Without consciousness to construct and perceive them, how could the concepts of time, space, matter and experience exist? Out of a real need to pay attention to our biological experience, we tend to become ego-bound or over-identified with our material existence, while ignoring our inner processes of thought, emotion, dreams and imagination, our spiritual side. Individually and collectively, we simply push this side of ourselves aside.

As unique, individualized expressions of All That Is, we are not only the products of creation, we are creation itself and thoughts are the basic building blocks we use to create the reality we then experience. We are thought processors. As we think, we create. Change what we think and we change what we create. How we define ourselves and the world around us forms our intent, which in turn, forms our reality. “God” does not simply exist outside us, each one of us, every “thing” is a unique, individualized expression, another face of “God”.

To back up these assertions, I point to no sacred book or “official” source of authority other than my own personal experience from a life of curiosity, openness and experimentation. While subjective experiences like the following cannot be duplicated, the inner senses and intuitive abilities that allow us to have these experiences are the same and can be tested, examined and compared. They are the same senses we use for Remote Viewing, Out of Body experiences, telepathic communication, dreaming and imagination. What greater authority is there than our own experience, given that we keep an open heart and an open mind?

  • Encounter With the Energy of Unconditional Love. This experience was two years in the making. In a moment of total frustration while sitting at my desk at home alone, I threw my arms into the air and asked the universe, What do I want more than anything else in All That is? As soon as my voice trailed off a strong, disembodied male voice, about six inches in front of my forehead said, “Love!” Despite the strange circumstances, I knew what the voice said was true and I immediately confirmed it by saying, That’s right, all I ever wanted was to love and be loved unconditionally. Two years later my stated desire became reality. This experience demonstrates the power of imagination and the multidimensional nature of “reality”.
  • The “Suckface” Incident. After conducting a Guided Imagery exercise (some call it Guided Meditation) at a friends house in South San Francisco, I felt spiritually sensitive and on my drive home (San Francisco at the time), I encountered two men on a motorcycle heading the same way. Our eventful journey describes my side of the experience and illustrates how our inner and outer senses can work together to empower us in ways we have yet to understand.
  • The Ball of Light – A Dream About the Nature of Consciousness and Being. While Encounter With the Energy of Unconditional Love and The “Suckface” Incident occurred during waking hours, The Ball of Light… occurred as a lucid dream. In other words, I was awake in the dream and knew I could consciously control it but chose to let the dream unfold on its own. It is one of the most profound experiences I have ever had. It illustrated for me what life is like at less tangible levels of being or as a nonphysical being.
  • Inside Ivy. Do you talk to your plants? This experience goes one step further and uncovers the spiritual nature behind all things. Through direct communication, what can we learn from each other? Inside Ivy also demonstrates the role of beliefs and emotions in setting the stage for our life experience.
  • Dreams of My Unborn Grandson. Grandparents should like this one. I had a dream about my grandson and told my daughter and her first husband about it before they told me Crystal had a sonogram and they didn’t see a penis, although the technician did tell them not to jump to conclusions because the test was dependent on the position of the baby. They were both sure Crystal was going to have a baby girl. Several weeks later, I had another dream about the baby and it was still a boy. Again, I told my daughter and her husband and both pooh-poohed me. Jordan, my grand son, was born several weeks later.

We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. – Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
